St. Luke's -Roosevelt Hospital Center for Weight Loss Surgery is a fully comprehensive weight management program. The program is based at the St. Luke's division and is affiliated with the nationally recognized New York Center for Obesity Research.

Reducing Risks with Minimally Invasive Techniques

At St. Luke's Hospital, we now perform all of our weight loss surgery procedures using minimally invasive techniques. This method lets us operate via small incisions in the abdominal wall. Benefits to patients are many including significantly less pain and scarring; fewer wound complications quicker recovery time and faster return to normal activity than traditional surgery.

Thanks to our expertise and multidisciplinary approach, we are uniquely equipped to handle even the most complicated weight management cases. We have vast experience in treating patients at the extremes of obesity, once considered too risky for surgery.
