Dr. Mirensky received her Bachelor of Science in Engineering and Applied Science degree Magna Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Mirensky continued her studies at the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned her Doctor of Medicine. She completed her residency in General Surgery at Yale-New Haven Hospital, where she was awarded the Sam Harvey Yale Surgical Society Outstanding Resident Award and the Dennis Wasson, MD Award for Outstanding Performance in Surgical Residency. Dr. Mirensky completed a post-doctoral research Fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine, where she studied tissue engineered vascular grafts. Dr. Mirensky was awarded the Rosencrantz Basic Science Award by the American Academy of Pediatrics Section of Surgery in 2008 and 2009. Following her General Surgery training, Dr. Mirensky completed a clinical Fellowship in Pediatric Surgery at the St. Louis Children’s Hospital, where she was the recipient of the Gregorio A. Sicard Fellow Teaching Award.
