From the Doctor
Dr. Balaram joined Mount Sinai St. Luke’s Roosevelt in July of 2004, after completing specialized training in minimally invasive and robotic cardiac surgery.
Her clinical interests include minimally invasive surgery, valve surgery, and aortic surgery. She is involved a number of clinical research projects and active clinical trials. Her research interests include thoracic aortic aneurysms, the role of gender in cardiac surgery, and surgery for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
She has presented in local, national, and international meetings and is widely published.
